Carisa Armstrong (Artistic Director)
holds a M.F.A. in Dance from Case Western
Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and a
Bachelor of Exercise and
Sports Science with Teacher Certification from Southwest Texas State
University. She has been honored to perform works by
Erick Hawkins, Kathy Dunn Hamrick, Peter Dimuro, Louis Kavouras,
Richard Dickenson, Kista Tucker, Karen Potter,
and
Diane Gray. Carisa's teaching experience includes Case Western Reserve
University, Cleveland School of Dance and
NonSolo Danza Studio (demonstrator in Milan, Italy). While
in school she received several awards including the Connie
Webb‑Brown Scholarship in Choreography & Performance (SWTSU) and the
Graduate Dean's Instructional Excellence Award (CWRU). After
graduate school, Carisa moved to the New York Metropolitan area
where she studied with the Erick Hawkins Dance Foundation and
received a scholarship to attend the Paul Taylor Summer Intensive.
Carisa has since returned to Texas and was appointed a Lecturer
position in dance at Texas A&M University. |

|
Christine Bergeron (Artistic Director)
received her BA in Dance from University of Akron and her
Master of Fine Arts in Choreography and Performance from
Florida State University. She is certified in Pilates
Matwork 101 and 201 and is an Associate Instructor of the
Equipment work. While at Florida State, she acted
as rehearsal director for Jawole Willa Jo Zollar of Urban
Bush Women in her works,
Shelter
and Soul
Deep. Christine has danced with Kathy
Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, Women’s Dance Project, Dance
Repertory Theatre and K403. She has also performed Martha
Graham's,
Acts of Light
staged by Myra Woodruff,
Shelter
by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and
Preludes and a Song
by Peter DiMuro of Liz Lerman Dance
Exchange. She has taught at Florida State University,
University of Akron, Palm Beach County School of the Arts,
Café Dance and several dance studios in Florida and Texas.
Choreographically, her work has been reviewed in the
New
York Times, The Star Ledger,
The
Dallas Morning News, The Star Telegram,
The Eagle,
Tallahassee
Democrat,
Chronicle, Ovations and
Florida Flambeau. Her
work has been described as quirky, athletic, daring and
clever.

Aubrey Eyeington
is
currently seeking a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Accounting, a Masters in Accounting, a Certificate in
International Business, and a minor in Spanish and Dance
from Texas A&M University. Aubrey trained with Suzanne’s
School of Dance Company, Abundance, for twelve years before
coming to TAMU. She also attended summer dance intensive
Ballet Magnificat in Jackson, Mississippi and Project Dance
in New York City. She has taken master classes from Clara
Cravey (Houston Ballet Academy), Laura Morton (Belhaven
College),
Steve Rooks (former Martha Graham dancer) and Stephen and
Britta Wynne (TALK Dance Company). Aubrey has
also performed with the EmSu Dance Company and Chara
Christian Dance Company.

Amy Foy
has had the privilege to perform Dialogue
by emerging artist Melissa Autry,
Shape of Things to Come
from former Doug Elkins dancer, Lisa Nicks and
Preludes to a Song by Peter DiMuro of
the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. Amy has also been honored to
receive several awards including exceptional technical
performance by the Texas Association for Health, Physical
Education, Recreation and Dance. She plans on attending
graduate school for dance in fall 2008.

Natalie Okoro is
a graduate of Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual
Arts (HSPVA) with a concentration in dance; modern and ballet. She
began her dance training at the age of 8 with Trayce Luckie in tap
and jazz. She has danced in performances such as the
Nutcracker and
HSPVA’s annual dance concerts. Natalie also trained at the Kathryn
Parker Dance Studio in Sugarland, Texas. For the past four years,
she studied under the instruction of Janie Carothers and JoDee
Engle. Natalie has taken many master classes from Sandra Organ of
Sandra Organ Dance Company,
John Magnus of
Joffery Ballet,
Dallas Black Dance Theatre,
and
Alvin
Ailey Dance Company.

Rebecca (Becca) Roy is seeking a
Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, with emphasis in
politics and diplomacy. She has trained with the Cenla Academy of
Performing Arts (CAPA), under the direction of Rita Barton, for
eleven years before coming to Texas A&M. Becca also instructed at
CAPA for 2 years, teaching ballet, jazz, and tap to ages three to
seventeen. She has performed in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and
Peter and the Wolf with the Red River Dance Theater Company of
Alexandria, Louisiana, as well as taken master classes with Heidi
Sharpe-Axom and Christy Currey. |

Jennifer Schiable
trained with Boni’s Dance and Performing Arts Studio for fifteen years prior to
moving to College Station. Currently, she is a choreographer for Boni’s En
Toure in The Woodlands, TX. Jenny has danced with The Woodlands Dance Company in
productions of The Nutcracker and
Cinderella. She has taken master
classes from Sue Schroeder (Core Performance), and Kista Tucker (Kista Tucker
Dance Company). This is Jenny's first season with the company. |
